Relatively speaking, it's been a rough year for Kris Humphries. After Kim Kardashian
sprung divorce papers on him after just 72 days of marriage, Humphries
found himself single, booed with regularity during his NBA games,
embroiled in a heated legal battle with Kim that involved his follow-up
fling Myla Sinanaj, and called out by one of the most famous rappers in
the world.
Even worse, Kanye West
not only dissed Humphries on his "Theraflu" (aka "Way Too Cold")
single, he did so while romancing Kim just a few months after the split.
Talk about rubbing salt in the wound.
But Kris was finally treated to some good news this week: The newly formed Brooklyn Nets, the NBA team partially owned by Jay-Z,
signed Humphries to an extension, and Humphries made sure everyone knew
about it. Contrary to the scenario Kanye presented in "Theraflu" in
which he tosses around the idea of having "Jay drop [Humphries] from the
team," Kris will be playing for Jay's Nets for at least another two
years, racking up $24 million in the process.
Humphries couldn't help himself from using his Nets contract as ammo for a playful jab at Kanye, tweeting this:
