December 22, 2011: Doctors and expecting mother Maria de Nazare were amazed when scans done as she went into labour showed her baby had two heads. They opted for caesarean and amazingly the baby came out alive and healthy.

Doctors said the rare case, the second one in Brazil this year, was actually conjoined twins sharing the same body. Scans have showed they share one heart and the majority of organs. The babies, named Jesus and Emanuel, have been deemed healthy and stable, and the 23-year-old mother breastfed both of them.
